What happened to the days when everything was so clear?
What happened to everlasting smiles and an imagination running a million miles per hour?
When our ABC's were spelled out on the wall of our classroom, when boys and girls had cooties, when bugs were cool, when we entertained ourselves by playing "Make Believe."
We could "Make Believe" to be anyone and do anything.
We could destroy evil villains and live in castle, when we had imaginary friends and smiles never left our faces.
We could rule the world, we could fall in love, we could live forever.
All our fantasies were at our fingertips... And we were content with just pretending, just playing "Make Believe."
But it doesn't work like that anymore...
No "Make Believe" can fix our problems anymore.
We can't fight off these problems like bad guys, and take over our own little worlds.
We can't always "Make Believe" there's a happy ending.

Opening my eyes.
Have you ever come to a startling realization about yourself that just puts everything into perspective?
Yeah, It SUCKS.
If I keep noticing these things, yet not changing them, what good am I?
Why do we always become complacent about the things we know we need to change?
And if you want the truth, I don't have an answer.

I just noticed this...
I'm angry that my Myspace won't work, that the site is being dumb.
But I'm not angry that there are starving people scattered this world.
Free Rice.
I'm angry that the shirts that I spent $4o on aren't here yet.
But I'm not angry that most people don't even have enough money for food.
I'm mad that my plans with my friends fell through.
But I'm not mad that some children wake up to find their families abducted by merciless soldiers.
Invisible Children.
I'm mad that some people don't pay attention to me.
But I'm not mad that there are homeless people out there who get ignored, and they need help the most.
I'm mad that someone is talking stuff about me behind my back.
But I'm not mad that there that kills themselves because of hate and racism.
I'm mad that some kid at my school is being a jerk to me.
But I'm not mad that thousands of kids, teens and even adults are sexually, verbally and physically abused everyday.
Do something.org.
I'm mad that I'm EXTREMELY self-centered and that I'm not doing anything about it.

Love.♥
Think about it…
How many people do you say “I love you” to. Not “ily” or “I luhhhh you” or any other whack spellings.
How many people do you say that to? Your friends, your girlfriend/boyfriend, the kids you hang with at lunch, the people at your job, your parents, your relatives, and that super hot celebrity or band. The list goes on and on and on and on and on and…Well, I think you get the point. “I love you” is tossed around these days, associated with, basically, favoritism. Now, I’m not saying that the affection you show for these people is wrong, because it’s not. Love comes naturally to a human being, especially with those who we are close to.
But what about the people we’re not close to? The people we can’t stand to be around? The people we wish would just fall off the face of the earth? Why don’t we love them?
Well, because they don’t like me, they don’t like the same stuff as me, they did this and that and this and that. They did something against me, my friends, my family.
Well, love isn’t about you… Or how YOU feel, or don’t feel. It’s not what it's meant to be. Love is not about your feelings. Its sacrificial, remember?
So, I ask you again, how many people do you say “I love you” to?
But here’s the kicker, how many people do you say it to, and MEAN IT?
“Love is the unconditional choice to sacrificially serve another person.”
